Installation Considerations

The Pollite mast has been designed for simple installation. The mast is pre-cut to the exact height required and the component parts, including cross arm, can be pre-assembled in the factory to speed up installation if required.

The mast can be reduced in height on site if required without affecting it’s frangibility whilst an additional 110mm of upward adjustment is available with the light height adjusters.

All Pollite masts come complete with a full set of installation instructions covering all areas including base and top fittings.

1. Each pole comes complete with the correct length ground rods and all associated fittings, bolts for brackets and washers and nuts for the base plate arrangement.
2. Cabling can be threaded through the cross arms and down the main mast if required.
3. Each base and ground plate has a hole of 80mm in the centre to allow for the cables from the mast to pass through and connect with the ground fitting.
4. Each bracket is secured in place using the bolts provided and can be moved and adjusted fully on site.
5. The crown at the centre of a cross arm pole is secured on site using the four bolts provided. This allows the mast to be reduced in height if necessary prior to securing the crown.
6. The winch mechanism available on masts above 5.5m is entirely detachable and designed to be carried from one mast to the other.
7. Foundation details will depend on the ground conditions on site.

Below detailed is a foundation table for the Pollite masts however it is worth noting that different ground conditions can affect the correct foundation requirement.
