Frangible Approach Masts: Single/Cross Arm

Single Light Approach Masts

Single light masts are available from 1 metre to 12 metres in height. They are extremely simple to install, offer flexibility in height adjustment on site and cabling can be protected within the structure from outside elements.

From 1 metre up to 1.75 metres the standard diameter is 60mm and the pole is manufactured from powder coated aluminium with a frangible coupling and tripod base.

From 1.8 metres to 4.95 metres in height the standard diameter increases to 125mm and the pole is manufactured from frangible fibreglass with a galvanised steel hinged base plate for ease of raising and lowering on site.

Above 5 metres all single masts have a standard diameter of 180mm, manufactured from frangible fibreglass with a galvanised steel hinged base plate. This pole can be raised and lowered using our winch system if required

Cross Arm Masts

All Cross arm masts from Pollite will hold from 2 to 6 No. lights (inclusive of the SFL/Flash Unit).
Every mast has been designed for ease of use and installation.

As a fully frangible one piece structure there is no need for sub assembly of the mast on site and all masts are produced to the exact height specified by the client.

Every mast and cross arm section is manufactured from fibreglass. The main pole has a UV resistant durable gel coat finish and a hollow core allowing for cabling to be hidden within the mast minimising any potential for damage.

All mast components are manufactured from grp or aluminium and powder coated aviation yellow to suit. Components are designed to fit all masts and can be adjusted on site by the installer. Pollite has deliberately chosen to keep the design of our components simple from an installation and usability point of view. Every cross arm pole comes with additional light height manipulators to offer a further 110mm of adjustment on site.
