Concept Behind the Design

Simplicity

We have designed a mast that is straightforward to use. A mast created for easy installation and minimum service. A mast where the cables can be hidden within the mast. A mast that doesn’t interfere with magnetic radio-waves or conduct electricity. A mast that is lightweight.

Durability of Structure

We’ve used 40 years of fibreglass experience to develop a mast that is structurally durable. We want to make sure that the structural integrity of the mast is not compromised in any environmental conditions. Our design is made and tested to resist the most extreme environments. This is arguably the most environmentally durable frangible mast available.

Longevity of Service

We have deliberately chosen materials that will offer long term service. As manufacturers we have fibreglass masts out in service for over 20 years but we wanted to combine this longevity in fibreglass with other quality components. We use 316 marine grade stainless steel for the light height adjusters. All the component nuts and bolts are also made from stainless steel. The hinged base plate is manufactured from hot dip galvanised mild steel and has been salt spray tested to FAA standards to ensure durability. Whilst the Gel cot is UV resistant it is also highly resistant to all atmospheric pollutants.
